ALERICA L. ANDERSON (he/him/his) has held various roles such as music director, keyboardist, bassist, and tubist for numerous touring and local artists. His credits include serving as Associate Music Director and keyboard 1 for The Tap Dance Kid with the St. Louis Black Repertory Company, playing bass for Stages St. Louis’ Pre-Broadway production of The Karate Kid, the Musical, and being Associate Music Director and bassist for In The Heights, among others.

Alerica has also played Bass for A Chorus Line, AIDA, Newsies, and performed tuba and string bass for Ragtime. Additionally, he worked as the music contractor for The Repertory Theatre of St. Louis’ Side By Side. He has collaborated with notable artists such as Edwin Hawkins, Walter Hawkins, David Peaston, The Drifters, Melba Moore, Lynn Whitfield, Dr. Bobby Jones, The Ebony Fashion Fair, The Miss Universe Pageant, and Celine Dion. Renowned for his skills in artist development, he has guided hundreds of artists across various music and performing arts genres and serves as a consultant for multiple artist management firms and arts organizations locally and nationally. As a composer, producer, and arranger, Alerica has produced works for stage and screen in diverse genres. He is also the founding Artistic Director and Conductor of the newly established Metropolitan Pops Orchestra in St. Louis.
