GABRIELLE DAVID (she/her/hers), a multidisciplinary artist, is the executive director and board chair of 2Leaf Press Inc., a nonprofit publisher and multimedia organization based in New York. With over twenty-five years of experience in desktop publishing and word processing at Fortune 500 companies, she also ran her own company, Chimeara Communications, Inc., creating promotional materials for various clients. David has a background in music and photography, having performed in and managed bands in the late 1970s and early 1980s, and was a partner of hotshots unlimited photography during the 1980s.
She began writing poetry in elementary school and became involved in the New York poetry scene in the 1990s, serving as a literature coordinator at the Langston Hughes Community Library and Cultural Center. Her work there led to the creation of phati’tude Literary Magazine, which later became part of the Intercultural Alliance of Artists & Scholars, Inc. (IAAS), a nonprofit organization she founded in 2000 and led until 2020. The IAAS transitioned to 2Leaf Press Inc., with David continuing as the publisher overseeing the distribution of phati’tude Literary Magazine. She is the author of the TRAILBLAZERS series and has edited and co-edited various publications. David has also been involved in panel discussions, workshops, and has contributed articles and essays to numerous publications.
