This year, the Shirley Bradley LeFlore Foundation is continuing its year-long celebration of womanhood by honoring Women’s History Month. The celebration of Women’s History Week began in 1978 and gained national recognition from President Jimmy Carter in 1980.
March 6th was Shirley’s birthday and I wonder what an 85-year-old Shirley would say about the sociopolitical environment we are struggling in today? Her heart would be heavy, but she’d be hoppin’ mad . . . at the TV.
